Principal Mechanical Engineering Leader – Health Sector
We are partnered with a leading global AEC firm that seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineering Leader to drive its Health Sector practice — leading major healthcare project delivery, growing client relationships, and mentoring teams as a seller-doer.
Key Responsibilities Lead engineering design and delivery for major healthcare projects. Grow revenue and client relationships regionally and across North America as a seller-doer. Lead business development pursuits, proposals, and strategic positioning. Mentor staff and represent the firm's brand at industry events and client engagements.
Capabilities and Credentials Recent healthcare project experience (e.g., Acute Care, Outpatient, Behavioral Health, Cancer Care, Seniors Living). Strong technical grounding in mechanical systems for health facilities (HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, fire suppression). Proven business development track record, including pursuits, proposals, and contract negotiation. Strong leadership, communication, and team mentoring skills.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent). 15+ years in the AEC industry. Professional engineering license (P.Eng.) LEED AP, PMP, and HFDP certifications a plus.
