Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Monitoring & Observability Engineer with 8-10 years of experience. You will administer, design, and optimize our enterprise observability platforms. This role ensures the availability, scalability, and performance of our global infrastructure, network, and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration: Administer, support, upgrade, and optimize SolarWinds Orion, Splunk, and Dynatrace platforms. Observability Engineering: Design and implement proactive monitoring coverage across infrastructure, network, cloud, storage, and applications. Alert & Dashboard Management: Build custom dashboards, reports, and service health views while driving alert noise reduction strategies. ITSM Integration: Connect and automate monitoring platform events with ServiceNow Incident and Event Management (ITOM). Automation & Workflows: Build automated operational workflows to streamline infrastructure monitoring and platform health.
Critical Requirements (Must-Haves)
Experience: 8+ years in Infrastructure Operations, Monitoring Services, or Observability platforms. Hands-on Tooling: 5+ years of direct administration experience with enterprise monitoring suites. SolarWinds Mastery: Expert setup of NPM, SAM, dashboards, and custom alert configurations. Splunk Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SPL queries, data onboarding, and log analytics. Dynatrace Engineering: Hands-on deployment of OneAgent, Smartscape topology, and distributed tracing.
Core Competencies (Important)
ServiceNow Integration: Experience linking alerts with ServiceNow ITOM and Event Management. Environment Coverage: Background supporting Cloud services, hybrid infrastructure, networks, and storage systems. Scripting & Automation: Practical application of Python or PowerShell for API integrations and workflow automation
