About the role
We are seeking a skilled individual for the position of FPI Weld Prep. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to provide high-performance solutions for aerospace applications. You will contribute significantly to our innovative projects, ensuring quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This position is primarily responsible of insuring proper surface finish as per product criteria and customer requirements.

Shift: Monday to Friday- 6:30am to 3pm
Starting Wage: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Typical job duties
Follows activity Instructions
Removes defects from the surface of parts; using a variety of small hand tools (including but not limited to small ginders and grinding pads).
Polishes casting’s surfaces as per customer’s requirements.
Prepares castings for weld process
Removes defects identified in the Liquid Penetrant Process
Visual Inspection of parts to help ensure they meet customer requirements.
Sets up and maintains small appliances as required to perform specific activities
Maintains the necessary stock of materials for the area to maximize productivity
Maintains necessary documentation
Other duties as assigned
Willing to be cross trained in other areas of production
