We’re looking for a Motion Graphics Editor who lives and breathes social media. You’ll create scroll-stopping motion content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and emerging channels. This role sits at the intersection of design, animation, and culture, ideal for someone who understands how motion drives engagement in fast-paced social environments.
What You’ll Do
- Edit motion graphics including paid ads, organic posts, stories, reels, shorts, and branded content
- Animate typography, logos, UI elements, and graphic systems that align with brand guidelines and campaign concepts
- Edit short-form video content optimized for platform-specific formats, ratios, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with art directors, copywriters, strategists, and social teams to bring ideas to life
- Adapt and version assets quickly across multiple platforms, formats, and clients
- Stay current on social trends, animation styles, and platform updates
- Manage multiple projects under tight timelines while maintaining high creative quality
- Incorporate internal and client feedback quickly and efficiently
What We’re Looking For

4+ years of experience in motion graphics and video editing, ideally in an agency environment

Strong understanding of social storytelling and pacing

High proficiency in:

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Premiere Pro Photoshop & Illustrator

Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and paid social ads

Solid grasp of animation fundamentals (timing, easing, composition, typography)
-
Proactive spirit that plays around with new motion designs to bring relevant styles into the day to day, and also see opportunities (when time permits) to elevate other areas that might have not started off as a motion ask.

Ability to balance creativity with strategy and brand consistency

Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving agency setting
Nice To Have
- Experience with 3D tools (Cinema 4D, Blender)
- Familiarity with Figma or motion design systems
- Knowledge of performance metrics and how creative impacts engagement
- Illustration or design background
Base salary range: $75-90K CAD, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
