Description:
You are to work as a part of a team in all interactions, with your first goal being to understand others needs and requirements, then work towards a win-win solution to serve our staff and guests as best possible. If a problem or issue has been identified, you will focus on providing solutions. As a part of the resorts supervisor team, it is your responsibility that all resort policies and procedures are followed within the Jackpine establishment.
Essential Functions:
- Work with the Director of Food and Beverage in developing and implementing Jackpine Pub promotional concepts, activities, advertising, and marketing plans and communicate any information to properly advertise upcoming events.
- Assist in monitoring routine record keeping functions to include bi-weekly alcohol and inventory and ordering, cash handling and balancing, daily reporting of sales and labour and various other reports as needed. Ensure sales, labour and transactions are recorded properly.
- Supervise employees associated with the Jackpine to include bartenders, doormen, bussers, coat check and door sales. Nurture positive, professional communication between all employees.
- Ensure excellent merchandising of products, impeccable cleanliness, safety awareness and security standards. Recommend any maintenance requirements to ensure a healthy and safe working and playing environment. If any maintenance is required, immediately inform the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Attend Food and Beverage meetings as needed to address upcoming events, changes in business levels and problems related to operations.
- Aid in determining appropriate staffing levels according to seasonal business and occupancy forecasts and ensure sufficient staffing is in place.
- Set the standard for being a team player. Establish and maintain appropriate and effective working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as Panorama employees. Provide hands-on support with unit operations to ensure customer and staff satisfaction, financial success and return business
Experience/Requirements:
- 2 years previous supervisory experience in a bar/restaurant.
- Serving it right certificate.
- Experience with Microsoft word, excel, publisher an asset.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in B.C.
