Shermco Industries is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service/Electrical Technician (NETA II/III) to join our Calgary or Edmonton team. This role offers hands-on work with complex power systems, including high-voltage testing, protective relay commissioning, and industrial power system maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Perform high-voltage testing, commissioning, and diagnostics on medium- and high-voltage switchgear, transformers, and substations
- Conduct protective relay testing, power system studies, and arc flash analysis
- Ensure all work meets company safety policies, quality standards, and NETA procedures
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance on complex projects
- Document and report test results, work orders, and inspection data accurately
- Travel to client sites as required (up to 25% overnight)

- Medium- and high-voltage switchgear and control systems
- Protective relay testing and commissioning
- Transformer diagnostics and maintenance
- Substation and industrial power system commissioning
- Arc flash assessments and power system studies
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate in Electrical Technology, Power Systems, or Electrical Engineering preferred
- NETA Certification (Level II or III required)
- 5+ years of experience in electrical testing, power systems maintenance, or field service operations
- Strong technical expertise in power system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to mentor junior technicians
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
