About the role
Description Summary Global Payment is looking for an experienced product manager to join the Terminal Management System product team. This individual will work with product visionaries, scrum teams, stakeholders and leaders to deliver a broad range of payment acceptance products. The position will serve as the functional expert for Terminal Management System products and will serve as the point of contact between business units, development teams, and management.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience working in fast-paced, complex environments and will possess the skills to interact, facilitate, collaborate, negotiate, and work with a broad range of personalities and functions, including product managers, software engineers, project managers, QA analysts, and scrum masters.
Essential Duties
- Serve as the scrum Product Owner of their own Agile development team with co-located and/or remote developer & QA resources.
- Define and prioritize the solution delivery roadmap and IT backlog to implement the product management vision and strategy, maintaining alignment between product and solution delivery teams.
- Managing requirements, and collaboratively planning, prioritizing, and tracking work.
- Evaluate input from multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to develop detailed functional & non-functional requirements through Agile user stories and other requirements documentation.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements, communicate any technical challenges to implementation, and collaborate with the delivery team to recommend acceptable solutions & delivery timelines for stakeholders.
- Determine the impact of changes to other systems for upcoming projects and releases.
- Maintain current knowledge of various payment methods & processing flows, card brand regulations, technology and competitive trends in the electronic payment industry.
- Identify & mitigate gaps with existing systems/processes such as, but not limited to, manual processes that should be automated, security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Validate application functionality by engaging in design reviews and test case reviews and completing acceptance testing.
- Determine & manage dependencies between the solution delivery team and other groups including operations and servicing to facilitate the deployment of completed solutions.
- Collaborate with the Agile team to regularly inspect and adapt the software development processes, evolving procedures and driving continuous improvement.
- For assigned products, develops the "go to market packaging" for existing products or smaller product initiatives and supports the "go to market" strategy on the new or more complex product initiatives. Collaborates with product marketing to develop product marketing strategies based on established product objectives, costs, and value proposition.
- Develop business cases requiring minimal analytical skills for new product functionality to serve as inputs to decision-making, prioritization, pricing, and client value proposition.
- Hybrid, based 1-2 days a week out of our Steeles Ave, Toronto offices
- Standard office hours
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Business or Computer Science; Combination of relevant training and/ or experience in lieu of degree
- Typically, Minimum 5 Years Relevant Exp in product management or Business Analyst
- Experience in similar business product services and/or external customer/market experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer experience in a software development environment or in a professional services role.
- Prefer software or IT background (i.e., degree or experience).
- Prefer direct experience with doing software development, testing and/or business analysis.
- Prefer experience with Agile software products and delivery methodology.

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
