The Position
Reporting to Pastefill Operations Coordinator, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
Preparing safe and accurate paste backfill pipe installation prints; Paste backfill bulkhead prints, and paste backfill stope fill plans; Ensure current and future QA/QC requirements are achieved with respect to paste backfilling of stopes and operation/maintenance of the underground distribution system; Ensure provision of quality scheduling and technical support to surface and underground paste backfill.
Skills And Qualifications
Diploma in Mining or Mineral Technology or 5 years’ practical experience in an underground mine; Knowledge of mining processes; Strong math skills and a knowledge of natural sciences, especially geology and chemistry; Highly proficient computer skills, particularly ACAD and Amine; Ability to work in office, laboratory, or underground mine environments; Careful and detail-oriented; Project Management experience; Strong oral and written communication skills to gather, analyze and interpret mining data; Strong interpersonal skills – able to build good working relationships; Ability to adapt to changing conditions; Able to work in short timeframes and deadlines; Work well under pressure and have good time management skills.
Compensation And Benefits
Competitive total compensation package including:
Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program; Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; and Annual compensation of CAD$62,000 to CAD$79,000
