Job Title: Fixed-term(3 months) Material Handler
Reports To: Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor
Department: Inventory
Role Type: This is a fixed-term 3-month contract role, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position.
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Hourly Range: $18.10–$20/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Print sales orders, assign kit and place sales orders on kit (for reference)
- Copy Bill of Material orders to kitting bin stock counts using Excel
- Create shortage / receiving report. Distribute report to project managers and supply chain department.
- Print labels for all parts with work order number
- Locate all parts required from stock, floor, or customer
- As required, verify stock quantities, place label on part and place in kit
- Ensure system transactions are completed (e.g. transfer orders)
- Maintain e-mail and phone requests from Microart personnel (problems / follow-up)
- Print shortage / receiving report and place with kit – send to production
- Ensure transactions are complete (firm planned to released)
- Update spreadsheet for production (job, kit number, BOM etc.)
- Breakdown all shipping materials and set for garbage or recycling bins
- Organize all incoming materials from production, verify kit numbers and item quantities
- Re-count returned materials and set aside for future releases
- Other tasks pertaining to kits, as assigned by Inventory Control
Qualifications:
- Ability to comfortably and consistently lift approximately 25-35 lbs.
- Previous experience working in electronics manufacturing is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (required)
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Intermediate to expert Cantonese skills is an asset but not required
- Knowledge of Power Bi and Nav Dynamics is an asset
