What we offer
An amazing opportunity to continue to build the foundations of land development project management with a large volume builder with land holdings across the Greater Toronto Area. The Associate Land Development Manager is responsible for managing certain components of development projects from beginning to end, while utilizing Mattamy resources effectively and managing projects through internal and external consulting teams and contractors.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for various aspects of projects under the leadership and guidance of a Land Development Director
- Project scheduling, budgeting, cash flows and other financial reporting
- Support acquisitions and complete due diligence
- Management of municipal planning, engineering and landscape approvals: zoning, site plans, subdivision registration, etc.
- Obtain development approvals by working with multi-disciplined consultant teams and government authorities.
- Support research and insights into industry and market presence
- Be part of regular communication with internal stakeholders from other Divisions to share knowledge, best practices, and ensure a common approach
What y****ou b****ring
- Degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineering), Planning, or Real Estate/Business
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in residential land development, consulting or engineering firm focused on land development projects.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Forward planning and thinking: scheduling; coordinating consultants, contractors, municipalities and internal resources
- Financial Management: always managing by the numbers and understanding the projects financial position
- Communication: professional internal financial and timeline reporting; integrating well with Builder; early detection of issues
- Relationship skills: consistently balancing the interests of all stakeholders (municipal, political, partners, suppliers, Builder, etc.; upholding the reputation of Mattamy to facilitate smooth application processes
- Teamwork – overall contribution to the team; proactively helping others; consistent positive attitude; mentoring, teaching, training and learning
