Expectation

- Ensure the quality and cleanliness of all areas of Scandinave Spa Whistler.
- Complete the following tasks with leadership, keeping the Spa Experience and Housekeeping teams motivated and guiding the team to a high standard of service.
Salary:$57 500
Tasks & Responsibilities: As the Spa Experience & Housekeeping Supervisor at Scandinave Spa Whistler, you will report to the Spa Experience and Housekeeping Manager while leading the Spa Experience and Housekeeping team to ensure that high standards of cleanliness, service, and guest experience are met.
This role involves supervising daily operations including but not limited to maintaining cleanliness standards, facilities and features of the spa whilst guiding and mentoring the team to maintain a peaceful, welcoming environment. You will also be the front line of all onsite guest interactions and will support the team in delivering exceptional service for our guests.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide positive leadership and motivation for the Spa Experience & Housekeeping Team.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and development of team members.
- Conduct probationary and annual employee reviews, providing feedback and growth opportunities.
- Recognize and appreciate employee contributions.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings, ensuring clear communication and effective task delegation.
Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee daily operations of the Spa Experience and Housekeeping team, ensuring smooth operations, high cleanliness standards and positive guest interactions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and spa ambiance.
- Guide the team in managing complex guest service situations.
- Guide the guests through their spa experience with expert knowledge of all features.
- Ensure all spa policies and procedures are followed, promoting a relaxing and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Perform opening and closing duties as required to maintain operational efficiency.
Technical & Maintenance Duties (Training Provided)
- Test and maintain pool water quality, adjusting chemical levels as necessary to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Ensure you and your team are monitoring and regulating temperatures in the sauna, steam room, and solarium to maintain optimal guest comfort.
- Ensure pool cleaning equipment is functioning properly and report any mechanical issues.
- Oversee the management of the fireplace and sauna fire temperatures, ensuring safety standards are met.
Administrative Duties
- Assist with scheduling, payroll approvals, and incentive program audits.
- Manage inventory and stock levels and ordering.
- Maintain accurate records of departmental reports for compliance, inventory control and operational efficiency.
- All other tasks requested of you for the smooth and efficient function of the Spa Scandinave Whistler
Prerequisites:
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience leading teams of 10 or more employees
- Proven customer service experience, ideally within a hospitality or spa environment.
- Experience in commercial pool operation is an asset but not required as training is provided
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Ability to think on your feet, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work full-time, including evenings and weekends, and attend functions after work on a semi-regular basis.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining the spa's standards of excellence.
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit are essential.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg and working in an active, dynamic environment
- Having a valid drivers license is a bonus.
- Clear criminal record check
