Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Operations Support Mentee is responsible for ensuring the operations team is supported in day-to-day operations. This position offers an extensive mentorship opportunity encompassing the entire Operations process, including dispatch, logistics, planning and customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Support fleet managers/ dispatchers by monitoring the fleet message inbox
- Assist dispatch with processing extra pay requests
- Assist with the expedited freight tracing process
- Identify pending trailer safety status and organize return of trailers to our shops for monthly safeties
- Audit Daily LCV activity to ensure all LCV Based movements are properly indicated
- Assist dispatch with ACE/ACI manifesting and correct ACE/ACI errors
- Transpose submitted satellite shipment data into TMW Trip Folder (weights, seal numbers etc.)
- Assist dispatch by communicating with drivers to gather proof of delivery sheets (POD)
- Develop and maintain a positive rapport with drivers to understand their needs/issues
- Assist planners by updating driver PTA’s
- Review trailer inactivity with trailer tracking reports
- Provide support to Customer Service Reps regarding management of their accounts
- Assist with entering non-scheduled and scheduled orders into TMW
- Assist Logistics staff in gathering documents required for third party carrier hiring
- Assist with set up of new carriers within our operation and on TMW
- Assist with entering loads into the system
- Assist with tracing t/p loads
The successful candidate will have:
- Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize the daily responsibilities using multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge & experience with MS Office Suite and Teams. Experience with TMW software is considered an asset
- Strong customer service focus
- Exceptional organizational & problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently within a group setting
