Minimum requirements: 10 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial or maintenance roles in the oil and gas industry including management and supervision experience A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Knowledge of best practices for planning and execution of routine maintenance, outage maintenance and turnarounds, commissioning, shutdowns / startups and process safety management Knowledge and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Strong leadership experience along with problem solving skills that enable you to build positive relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional and diverse groups Responsibilities: Motivate, engage and lead a diverse team to execute high quality maintenance repairs and align maintenance resources with operational priorities Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and safely execute maintenance strategies and schedules, major maintenance projects and integrity management programs within budget and with minimal interruption to service Use performance metrics to monitor results and drive continuous improvement Ensure the safety of people, assets, and processes at all times Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices to deliver cost-effective maintenance and asset strategies Participate in the maintenance contracting strategies development and staffing Manage workforce according to the collective agreement in place and collaborate with Suncor and construction unions to resolve labor relation issues Location and other details: You will work out of our Firebag location, which is our largest in situ operation and one of the largest in the world (and located 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta) The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work To learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray, click here Think we are a fit?
