Job Description / Duties
We are currently accepting applications to the University of Toronto Breast Cancer Reconstruction and Breast Aesthetics Fellowship. One 12-month fellowship position is currently vacant to commence on July 1, 2027. This fellowship position will commence in July 2027 and end on June 30, 2028. This 12-month fellowship position is reserved for a Canadian Plastic Surgery Residency graduate looking to gain enhanced experience in all aspects of breast cancer reconstruction (microsurgical and alloplastic) as well as in advanced techniques in breast aesthetic and breast revision surgeries.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Eligibility
We only accept applications from those who will have successfully and fully completed certification from a recognized Plastic Surgery training program and are credentialed to work as such.

Research Opportunities
The fellowship supervisors are leaders in clinical breast research and there are many opportunities for participating in ongoing research or beginning new research projects.
Educational Opportunities
In addition to the teaching that will occur in the operating room, and clinical setting, there will be formal teaching provided by thefaculty at both teaching hospitals. There is a comprehensive list of learning objectives that will be reviewed with the fellows during site orientation, and the fellows will be formally evaluated at the completion of the fellowship. There will be divisional M+M rounds, visiting professor rounds, journal clubs, and educational dinner seminar series that occur once a month.
Training Facilities
There are world-class facilities on site for microsurgical skills training at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as formal 2-day microsurgical training courses that will take place twice a year.
Meetings and Conferences
It is mandatory for our fellows to attend the Annual Breast Surgery Symposium in Toronto. In addition, we will support travel to attend or present at one national (Canadian Society of Plastic Surgery) or American breast symposium.
Salary: OHIP generated billings.
