Summary
The Senior Product Manager, Advertising Products will play a key role in building Bell Media’s overall advertising product strategy with the goal of significantly scaling Bell Media’s ad inventory and revenue. The successful candidate will be a collaborative product leader with deep knowledge of adtech ecosystem ,and will be responsible for managing advertising products that digitize our media and make Bell Media a digital powerhouse. This role will report to the Director, Ad Platforms and will partner with our ad sales & operations, content platforms and revenue management teams in order to execute our aggressive strategy for growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your strong knowledge of adtech, the advertising media ecosystem, the ad buyer perspective and the consumer decision journey to drive ad product strategy and roadmap and delivery via product requirements and solutions across Bell Media’s video and audio properties
- Drive advertising innovation by leveraging data and media inventory to create incremental value for Bell Media properties.
- Identify key industry, competitive, and technology trends and communicate strategic implications to product teams.
- Manage a multi-year capital and operating expenditure across your portfolio of initiatives
- Quantify and prioritize product improvements across a wide range of adtech solutions
- A champion for collaboration/teamwork and comfortable working with people across departments, levels of seniority, time zones and cultures
- Lead communication with key stakeholders. You are as comfortable in detailed engineering discussions as you are in open conversations with customers.
- Define success metrics, measure, and iterate based on user feedback
- Manage strategic partnership development with key adtech suppliers across DSP, SSP and Ad Server solutions.
- Provide leadership and participation in initiatives that improve team member value and departmental strength.
Critical Qualifications
- University degree in business, engineering, or computer science, with a strong technical and analytical background
- 5+ years product management and/or ad operations experience, which includes leading teams to develop, deploy and launch complex technology driven products
- Experience managing technical projects from ideation to implementation (PMP certification is an asset)
- Experience with advertising technologies such as with DSP, SSP, OMS, or other ad technology, campaign planning or management platforms.
- Experience working in an agile build squad / team. Understands the fundamentals of agile / scrum based iterative product development, including user story development, backlog grooming, managing velocity, and establishing metrics of success
- Technical background a plus, including experience working with common enterprise software-as-a-service platforms, service-oriented architectures, and modern software environments (Javascript-based, APIs, AWS services, etc.)
- Deliver results in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrates strong ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Experience in working directly with senior stakeholders and leadership
- Proactive problem solver, with a passion for learning, and is results oriented
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
