Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Intelligent Automation Developer role based in Markham, ON. The Intelligent Automation Developer will design, build, and maintain automation solutions that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing workflow requirements, developing automation scripts and workflows, integrating automation tools with existing systems, and testing solutions to ensure reliability and performance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, document technical designs, and provide ongoing support and optimization for deployed automations. The developer will also monitor automation performance, identify opportunities for enhancement, and contribute to best practices and standards for automation development within the organization.
Qualifications
Strong skills in intelligent automation development, including experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and workflow automation tools. Proficiency in programming or scripting languages commonly used in automation (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript) and familiarity with APIs and integration frameworks. Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and designing end-to-end automated solutions that align with business objectives. Solid understanding of databases, data structures, and data manipulation, including SQL or similar query languages. Ability to document technical designs, create clear process maps, and maintain reusable code and components. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues in production environments. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and familiarity with IT governance and security best practices is an asset. Previous experience developing automation solutions in a corporate or consulting environment, ideally within a high-volume or complex operational setting.
