Qualifications
MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Completion of a Community College course in a related discipline is required.
- Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or related discipline preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in strength and conditioning training including developing workout plans and assessment of training progress; experience with data collection and analysis; experience with data software is preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail; analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients, coaches, and student Ras is required.
- Strong technical skills and software troubleshooting is required.
- Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision while achieving specific goals within specific timelines is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
Key responsibilities
- Weekly on and off ice data tracking, collection and synchronizing of data between various collection methods and software platforms following research protocols.
- Weekly task to ensure data is captured, accurate and complete.
- Development of the "Skating App" with input from both on and off ice coaches, focusing on clear and concise reports. Review and revise reports to determine which model is the most effective and efficient.
- Strong understanding of technology platforms, set-up and integration, and ability to troubleshoot any issues to maintain data collection integrity.
- Provides leaderships to student RAs assisting with project and data collection
- Other duties as assigned.
