Summary DMC is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis for up to 12 months, based in our Vaughan, Ontario office. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the human resources function, including supporting recruitment, onboarding, training administration, HRIS data entry, and other HR initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert user of the HR systems, ensuring accuracy and timely entry of employee data and lifecycle changes.
- Conduct audits of HR systems quarterly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and process employment-related documentation (new hires, promotions, terminations, transfers, employment verifications, etc.), while liaising with other functions (payroll, benefits).
- Support recruitment activities, including job posting, application tracking, scheduling interviews, and reference checks.
- Organize and occasionally facilitate onboarding and new hire training for employees.
- Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports (headcount, turnover, etc.).
- Serve as a point of contact for employees’ questions or inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including employee processes and policy manuals.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively with HR team and all departments within the organization.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in human resources and/or an office environment is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, follow-through, and workload planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to hard and soft deadlines.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgement, while maintaining a high-level of confidentiality.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite
Additional Information
- Hourly Range is expected to be between: $20.00 to $27.00 CAD
- This role can be performed by hybrid, in office and remotely.
- Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge/skills, and experience.

1980 The company was founded in 1980 as Dynatec Mining Limited. In its second year in business, it started building the Macassa Mine shaft, for which, it still holds the record for the deepest single-lift timbered shaft in the world.
1992 DMC developed the Long Round Concept for shaft sinking, an innovation that improved productivity by 20%.
2013 The company initiated and developed leading edge, shaft sinking technology using Shaft Boring Roadheaders (SBRs) designed and built in Germany for a twin shaft project in Canada.
2015 DMC's Jansen team performed the first ever installation of shaft tubing using a robotic arm called the Blairmore Ring Erector (BRE).
2019 First full completion of 2 x 1000 metre BHP Billiton’s Jansen Shaft project using SBR technology.
