Accounting Bookkeepers are responsible for the processing of accounts payable and receivable including patient billings, collection of patient accounts and incidental charges. The accounting bookkeeper is responsible for accurate processing of payments to vendors and others, and for maintaining accurate and complete records. Accounting Bookkeeper is also responsible for Materials Management operations that include purchase order and inventory management related work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three year Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Six (6) months current experience in an accounting position
  • Experience in Healthcare is an asset
  • Knowledge of accounting software programs
  • Advanced skills with Excel
  • Proficient in the use of other Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with data analysis from data systems
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet recurring deadlines
  • Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
