About the role
We are looking for an HR Systems & Optimizations Analyst to join our team.
The Senior HR Systems & Optimizations Analyst is a strategic and technical expert responsible for optimizing and evolving our HR systems. This role focuses on leveraging technology—including AI and automation—to drive efficiencies, enhance user experience, reduce risk and support HR transformation initiatives. The senior analyst leads system upgrades, data governance, and special projects that align with organizational goals.
Accountabilities

Project Lead: Manages cross-functional HR technology projects from concept to delivery. Collaborates with IT, HR, and external vendors to ensure successful system integrations and upgrades. Provides support on business case development, detailed work plan, project activities, milestones, timelines, and stakeholder communications.

System Optimization: Oversees the upgrades and optimizations of HR systems. Looks for opportunities to create efficiencies in system usage including adoption of AI technology. Reviews and maintains highest level of data integrity and risk mitigation within HR systems.

Business Analysis: Collaborates with key stake holders to review, design and implement business processes to meet risk management, compliance and regulatory requirements. Assesses new technologies and trends, using advanced business and technical skills to analyze complex problems and identify automated solutions.

Process Improvement : Analyzes current HR processes and recommends technology-enabled improvements to support ongoing optimization. Develops business case for process change, oversees implementation of changes, and ensures effective knowledge transfer.

Service Delivery : Collaborates with key stake holders (e.g. IT) to develop service delivery standards and audit processes for new assigned systems to ensure queries, systems activities and processes meet service standards. Supports HR as assessment and escalation point for assigned systems, projects and programs. Works with business process owners to understand business need and help translate requirements to technical resources to resolve with technology solutions (e.g. Oracle reports, processes, etc.).
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (HR or related field) required; HR Analytics certification and/or Business Intelligence statistical training preferred

CPHR designation or equivalent preferred

Solid research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to actively participate in development of complex business solutions.

Effective collaboration and relationship-building to align business and technical stakeholders.

Experience informally coaching and guiding internal project or department resources preferred
-
Experience working with Oracle, Service Now and Dayforce is an asset

5-6 years of progressive experience in HRIS roles, with a focus on systems, automation, and AI integration.

Proven track record of leading complex HR technology projects.

Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, self-directed, problem solving and advancing continuous improvement

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven strong customer service focus with the ability to partner with a variety of groups to identify issues and find solutions

Ability to perform complex tasks with little or no supervision; provide mentorship to the HR Analyst team to oversee day to day tasks

Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems (Oracle, Dayforce, Visier, Service Now)

Advanced skills with computer software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office suite of products

Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and cybersecurity.

Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
