About the role
Taylor Creek Volkswagen is hiring a Tire Jockey for our fast-paced parts department! In this role, you will be responsible for the handling, organizing, and transportation of customer tires within the dealership's storage facility. You will support the service and parts departments by ensuring accurate tracking and efficient handling of all stored tires.

Primary Responsibilities:

Tire Handling & Storage:

Load, unload, and transport tires to and from the storage area.

Organize tires in designated storage locations for easy access.

Ensure proper labeling and tagging of tires for tracking purposes.

Inventory Management:

Track tire inventory using dealership systems
-
Maintain an accurate log of stored and retrieved tires.
-
Report any discrepancies or damaged tires to the parts department.

Transportation:
-
Load tires into the cube truck for delivery to other locations.
-
Safely transport tires between dealership and storage facility.
-
Follow all safety and driving protocols.

Facility Maintenance:
-
Keep tire storage area clean and organized.
-
Monitor for any safety hazards or equipment issues.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

Customer Service:

Assist service advisors and technicians with tire-related requests.
-
Handle customer tires with care and professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (clean driving record), ability to drive cube truck.
- Ability to lift and carry tires (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail for accurate inventory tracking.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm
- Some overtime may be required during seasonal tire changes.
- Contract employment for 3 months
