Role Overview

The ETL Informatica/Azure Architect will lead the design and implementation of enterprise data integration solutions for insurance applications. This role combines expertise in Informatica ETL, Azure Data Services, and data architecture to modernize data platforms, enable advanced analytics, and ensure compliance with insurance data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design
  • Define and implement scalable ETL architecture using Informatica PowerCenter and Azure Data Factory.
  • Design data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading from multiple sources (policy, claims, customer data).
  • Develop data models and integration strategies for data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• ETL Development
  • Build and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica, PySpark, and Azure Databricks.
  • Implement data quality checks, exception handling, and performance tuning for high-volume insurance datasets.
• Cloud Integration
  • Migrate legacy ETL processes to Azure cloud.
  • Configure Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Delta Lake for storage and analytics.
• Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to insurance data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain data lineage and metadata using Unity Catalog or similar tools.
• Collaboration
  • Work with business analysts, data engineers, and solution architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in ETL/Data Integration, with strong Informatica and Azure expertise.
• Domain: Insurance or financial services experience preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Informatica Professional Certification (preferred)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Guidewire or other insurance platforms.
• Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
