What we need you to bring.

We are seeking an experienced CAD Manager to lead and manage our aerospace design data environment, with primary responsibility for overseeing Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (CATIA/ENOVIA) and associated PLM systems. The CAD Manager will ensure smooth daily operations, enforce design standards, support engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement of CAD/PLM processes across the organization.

Your Day- To-Day

  • Administer, configure, and maintain 3DX CATIA and PLM (ENOVIA) systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions while ensuring data integrity and system security.
  • Define, implement, and enforce CAD/PLM standards, naming conventions, and revision control procedures.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates, part libraries, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical support and training to engineers and designers using CATIA and PLM tools.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT or software vendors for resolution.
  • Ensure proper product data management, version control, and change management in compliance with aerospace requirements.
  • Support digital mockup (DMU), configuration management, and downstream data usage (e.g., manufacturing, analysis, certification).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to enable secure and efficient CAD/PLM data exchange.
  • Plan, test, and execute software upgrades, patches, and system migrations.
  • Evaluate new CAD/PLM capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for people with demonstrated experience (7+ years) in CAD / PLM management within aerospace programs. You will have;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with CATIA V5/3DX and PLM systems (ENOVIA or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of aerospace design processes, product lifecycle management, and configuration control.
  • Experience developing CAD standards, libraries, and process documentation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting CAD/PLM technical issues and coordinating with IT.
  • Excellent communication, training, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead system upgrades, migrations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in aerospace product development.

Location.

We are located just outside of Lindsay, in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, Canada. Our team is onsite at our facility, as a group, a minimum of two days per week. We expect the same from you, and we are mindful of what a realistic commute would be to keep you safe and at your best. We offer relocation allowances in appropriate cases.
