Come and join us — where payments meet purpose! | What we are looking for Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Vendor Management, the Senior Vendor Analyst supports the Vendor Management processes and procedures both internally and externally. The Senior Vendor Analyst supports the Team (VPMs) with key mission critical services at Payments Canada. This role supports the organization in managing relationships, evaluating performance and identifying opportunities to enhance value and mitigate risk. The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of vendor strategies with business goals and contributes to the continuous improvement of Payments Canada’s vendor management framework.
| A day in the life Responsibilities of the position may include but are not limited to:
Management Reporting And Strategic Analytics
- Provide support to the Strategic Partnerships and Vendor Management team by undertaking research (such as benchmarking), drafting briefing notes, service improvement plans and vendor audit, with guidance and direction from the Manager and VPM’s.
- Prepare management reporting related to the Vendor Management function including identifying data sources, extracting & validating data, analyzing data, and summarizing outcomes of analysis.
Support Management Of Vendors
- Remain current on vendor relationships and contracts and bringing relevant issues to the attention of management and the Vendor Portfolio Managers.
- Support the management of the Vendor portfolio in collaboration with the relevant Vendor Portfolio Manager and key stakeholder assigned to the portfolio. Key areas include performance management, change requests, incident post mortems, and relationship management.
Support The Development And Evolution Of Vendor Management Approach
- Support the team with process improvements and reporting in addition to monthly reporting such as vendor risk.
- Champion Vendor Management approach to ensure awareness and understanding across the organization and with vendors.
| What you need to be successful
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in vendor management and/or contract management.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in management reporting and strategic analytics.
- Strong Google Workspace and Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides; and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience building and maintaining strong business relationships with vendors, business owners, and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Eligibility to successfully complete background checks that will be carried out by Payments Canada, including criminal, credit, identity, employment, and education checks.
| Salary range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $88,500 to $118,000.
