The Wildwood Golf Course is owned and operated by the City of Saskatoon and located in Saskatoon as an 18 hole par 70 golf course. It offers a unique golfing experience for players of all skill levels. Wildwood is a challenging 18-Hole regulation golf course featuring irrigated natural fairways lined with mature trees, leading to small undulating greens surrounded by a variety of hazards. This course provides an intermediate level of play which makes it popular with golfers of all ages and abilities. As part of its facilities at Wildwood, the City provides a pro-shop, practice putting green, club repair and cleaning area, office area, food and beverage concession area and a practice/teaching area. The golf course is well-groomed and maintained by the City of Saskatoon staff.

Location 4050 8 St E, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0R3 Posted 2025-10-06 Deadline 2025-10-24 Job Summary City of Saskatoon is seeking to retain the services of a head golf professional to manage the golf operations including the pro shop and concession at Wildwood Golf Course. Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site golf course management for the operation of the municipal golf course
  • Conduct all tournaments and initiate and promote golf activities
  • Hire, train, and supervise a full complement of employees as required
  • Develop and implement junior and adult golf lesson program
  • Operate the teaching area Stock and operate a pro shop and provide rental clubs
  • Operate and manage all junior, ladies and men’s leagues
  • Operate the food and beverage concession
  • Collect, on behalf of the City, all fees established by the City

Qualifications

  • Must be a Class A Member in good standing in the PGA of Canada Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Experience with food and beverage operations

Compensation

$40,000 annually, plus any fees collected from:

  • Golf lessons
  • Teaching area
  • Pro shop retail sales
  • Golf club repair
  • Club rentals
  • Food and beverage concession sales
