Are you an administrative professional who is looking for more meaning in your work?

PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities. We’re seeking a Receptionist for Cristalina PARC, our community in Kelowna.

Welcome to Cristalina PARC

PARC communities are inspiring spaces, where our residents come, not just to live – but to live comfortably, and engage with a vibrant community of like-minded people.

In the heart of the vibrant Pandosy Village, Cristalina – PARC’s newest community is in full bloom. Just one block from Lake Okanagan, the residence has 133 gorgeously appointed suites. This modern, sustainably designed nine-story building is purpose-made for independent living, with vitality and social connection built right in. Residents can enjoy fine dining, lounge area, fitness activities, arts, culture, and gardening – or just sit back and take in beautiful views of the lake with a glass of fine wine.

As Receptionist, you are the communication hub of the community – and on the frontline of communicating our values to residents and families. This means:

  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere by greeting residents and visitors.
  • Performing a variety of administrative and support services in a professional, courteous, efficient and organized manner.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to requests from residents and visitors – along with other reception duties such as answering resident inquiries, receiving deliveries and organizing service requests.
  • Managing the residence driver’s schedule and handling any booking conflicts.
  • Scanning payable invoices and submitting them to appropriate managers for approval.
  • Responding to emergency calls and assisting with security issues.
  • Assisting with recreation programs and events.
  • Supporting Food Service, Housekeeping and other departments as requested.

The perks of PARC Hospitality

  • Meaningful work. How many hospitality jobs can say that? At PARC, you’ll be making a positive difference in seniors’ lives, each and every day.
  • Refreshments while you work. PARC’s chef-prepared cuisine rivals the best in BC, and we offer subsidized daily meals and beverages to employees.
  • No more late nights. Unlike the rest of the hospitality world, our closing shift ends at 9 p.m.
  • Flexible hours and location. We’re open to scheduling when and where it works for you – with guaranteed shifts every week. PARC has five great locations across the Lower Mainland.
  • A supportive, diverse team and training opportunities. We believe in giving our people opportunities to advance wherever we can.
  • High-value benefits. We offer Extended Health, Vision, Dental, Life, AD&D and Disability Insurance, plus an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), to help protect your health, family and way of life. Plus: birthdays off with pay, parental top-ups and much more!

It takes a special kind of person to work here – does this sound like you?

  • You are an upbeat and engaged team member who brings positive energy to all that you do.

  • You have a Grade 12 education or equivalent, and at least two years of reception experience in a similar environment, with a strong focus on customer service.

  • You’re consistently professional and courteous; able to interact tactfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • You handle high-stress situations calmly, and are comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • You have exceptionally strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher. Knowledge of other accounting, publishing and graphics software, such as Canva, would be an asset, too.

  • You have current First Aid and CPR certifications, along with WHMIS. FOODSAFE is an asset, as well.

  • You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and the professionals engaged in their care.

At PARC Retirement Living we require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
