Role Description
The Program Coordinator is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of programs that advance Indigenous participation in the energy and resource sectors. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating program activities and timelines, tracking deliverables, and maintaining documentation and reports. The role involves communicating with internal team members and external partners, responding to inquiries, and providing a high level of service to stakeholders. The Program Coordinator helps develop and refine program processes, supports project planning, and assists in organizing virtual meetings, workshops, and engagements. This position works closely with leadership to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, align with organizational goals, and reflect community and partner needs.
Qualifications
Program Management and Program Development skills to plan, coordinate, and improve initiatives. Project Management skills to organize tasks, manage timelines, and track milestones. Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage respectfully with diverse stakeholders and respond to inquiries effectively. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail. Understanding of or interest in Indigenous participation, energy and resource sectors, and community-led approaches. Proficiency with common productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management software, video conferencing platforms). Relevant education or training in program coordination, project management, public policy, Indigenous studies, or a related field is an asset. Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or in a cross-cultural context is considered an advantage.
