Job Description:

The accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following,

CUSTOMER

  • Accountable for oversight and monitoring activities for initiative/change to identify and register new AI/ML initiatives and assess model risk within the North American Customer Operations (NACO) Business Segments

  • Lead the integrated implementation of policies / processes / procedures / changes in across multiple functional areas in response to regulatory changes, business governance or identified business risks

  • Work with stakeholders in reviewing risk artifacts (i.e. CRAs, PIAs, DIAs), identifying model risks and providing advice on mitigation strategies and ultimately securing control partner approvals prior to target launch date

  • Document and obtain control partner approvals on model risk artifacts (i.e. MDRs, MCDRs, COMO Questionnaires, FBC Questionnaires) and associated risk artifacts for audit readiness

  • Maintain an up-to-date model inventory for NACO and act as the business coordinator for ongoing attestation and model monitoring activities

  • Build and manage reporting on issues/risks/impediments to ensure remediation takes place in a timely manner

  • Oversee and manage risk reporting dashboards and interface regularly with senior and executive management in identifying keys risks for the business in delivery of initiative and model activities

  • Establish and follow escalation protocols to raise issues and managing exception processes to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders where required

  • Facilitate trainings to new and existing COE members on 1A Model & AI Risk Governance mandate and activities involved in risk mitigation

  • Ensure NACO initiative and model deliveries are aligned with regulatory standards for change risk governance

  • Lead or oversee a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas including 1A, 1B and 2A with a focus on regulatory requirements and risk mitigation

SHAREHOLDER

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business governance function and play a key role in the development and implementation of strategies in support of the overall business strategy

  • Provide direction and/or input on complex, wide ranging enterprise or cross-function / business projects/initiatives as a subject matter expert and, where necessary, participate in identifying, designing and testing solutions and supporting implementation

  • Identify issues requiring research or analysis, determine solutions directly or in consultation with relevant functional / business heads, and provide meaningful direction

  • Work effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing and aligning others as needed, including control functions and business partners

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure an in alignment with risk appetite

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency

  • Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers

  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 5+ years relevant experience

  • Strong knowledge of NACO is required

  • Previous Change/Model Risk Management experience is an asset
