Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based in Richmond Hill, ON. The Receptionist will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, responding to general inquiries, and providing administrative support to the team.
This position is suited for a professional, responsible, and motivated individual who is well spoken, customer-focused, and eager to learn. Master Power is looking for a self-starter who is dependable, organized, and committed to performing well in a professional office environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming guests and visitors, answering incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate department, responding to emails, maintaining front desk organization, assisting with scheduling, supporting office administration, filing documents, updating records, and helping ensure smooth communication between customers, vendors, and internal team members.
The Receptionist will also assist with basic administrative tasks as required and may support coordination between sales, engineering, operations, and management teams. The successful candidate should be comfortable speaking with customers and visitors, asking questions when needed, accepting feedback, staying organized, taking responsibility for their work, and continuously improving their performance.
Qualifications Successful completion of high school is required. Previous professional work experience is required, particularly in customer-facing roles such as reception, customer service, retail, hospitality, administration, or a similar professional environment. Prior receptionist or office administration experience is an asset, but not required. Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, stay motivated, and follow through on assigned tasks. Responsible, dependable, and able to work well in an on-site team environment. Eager to learn Master Power’s office processes, communication standards, customer needs, and administrative procedures. Motivated to perform well, improve over time, accept feedback, and meet expectations. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly, politely, and professionally with customers, visitors, vendors, and team members. Well spoken, courteous, and comfortable representing the company as the first point of contact. Customer-focused mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to build professional relationships. Organizational and administrative abilities, including time management, record-keeping, follow-up, filing, and attention to detail. Comfort with basic technology, including Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn office systems or internal tracking tools. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a clean, organized area.
