Janitor – Amlilas Daycare

Reports to: Early Child Development Manager
Status: Permanent, part-time
Closing Date: Open until filled
Position Summary
The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the Amlilas Daycare in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors, offices, kitchen, and common areas daily.
- Clean washrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, floors) and empty garbage bins.
- Vacuum area carpets daily.
- Clean upstairs offices weekly.
- Replenish soap and paper towel dispensers as needed.
- Report maintenance and repair issues to the ECD Manager.
- Perform carpet cleaning as scheduled or required.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of custodial experience preferred.
- WHMIS training preferred (training may be provided).
- Ability to lift, walk, crouch, and climb as required.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
