What You’ll Be Doing
- Nutrition assessment on all referrals to the health centre
- Provide counselling and instruction for patients on therapeutic diets, using group and individual forums and presentations
- Provide education and in-services to patients
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain clinical records of referred patients
- Attend care team meetings with the various programs on a rotational basis
- Anticipate and contribute to department Quality Improvement initiatives
- Attend weekly update meetings with discipline lead
- Coach, direct, supervise and evaluate senior and graduate level University students
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Valid registration with College of Dietitians of Ontario is required, member of Dietitians of Canada preferred
- 2 years’ previous experience in Older Adult, Eating Disorders and Psychiatric care preferred
- Collaborative, service-oriented, innovative and accountable
- Commitment to working within Homewood’s Health and Safety Standards
- Practice in accordance within the ethical guidelines of the Dietetics profession
