Interested in working in the music industry, developing solutions to be used by high-profile clients? LyricFind has an opening for a talented and driven software developer looking to be a part of this exciting sector.
You will be part of a growing development team involved in all stages of product development—from planning and design all the way to testing and deployment. If you enjoy working on successful products used by millions of people, love learning new technologies, and take pride in releasing high-quality polished work, this position may be for you.
Particulars:
- Full-time
- Must work from Toronto office located at Yonge & Eglinton
- 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and maintain backend services, APIs and Spring Boot applications using Java
- Create dynamic front-end applications primarily in React, TypeScript, and Redux
- Provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and lead code reviews to maintain best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, maintainable systems
- Ensure robust, tested code and participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
- Write and maintain technical documentation for projects and processes
Skills:
- Experience with object-oriented development using Java (preferred), C# or similar languages
- Proficiency with React and JavaScript (TypeScript preferred)
- Experience with modern JavaScript toolchains, testing libraries, and best practices
- Knowledge of best practices and performance optimization
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Proven experience leading projects, reviewing code, and mentoring other engineers
- Able to seamlessly switch between projects and tasks
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment
Good to Have:
- Familiarity with common SQL databases
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional development experience (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
