You are a bold, strategic communicator with a passion for protecting and shaping brand reputation. You are an entrepreneurial Associate Director to join the team and be part of shaping strategic communications programs for high-profile corporate clients across a range of sectors.
This highly motivated communicator will play an important role in delivering integrated communications strategy and thought leadership campaigns, counseling clients, leading innovative campaigns and providing issues/crisis management support. They will also play an important role in guiding and coaching junior team members in support of delivering industry-leading client work.
You have a passion for coaching high-performing teams and supporting new business growth – both by identifying opportunities for organic growth and supporting with responding to RFPs.

What are your responsibilities?
Project & People Leadership
- Working with senior leadership, take a lead role in the development and execution of communications strategy grounded in insights, trends, and measurable outcomes.
- Serves as program manager and project lead and can do so for multiple clients and projects.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and provides coaching and mentorship to junior team members while creating the opportunity for them to deliver high-quality, high-impact work.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of building budgets and program budget management.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and support professional development across levels.
- Collaborate with in-house specialists in creative, media, digital, influencer, and data to deliver seamless, multi-platform campaigns
Client Relationship Management
- Nurtures client relationships and is comfortable taking the lead on day-to-day client counsel while engaging senior leadership where required.
- Collaborate seamlessly across agency disciplines to deliver an integrated service offering to clients.
Business Development
- Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities for organic growth while supporting new business development work.
What type of person should I be?
- 8+ years of experience in public relations or strategic communications, with deep corporate experience working within a highly matrixed corporate setting and/or an agency environment. Financial services and enterprise tech client experience is an asset.
- Proven success playing a lead role in executing national and integrated brand campaigns, from strategy to execution, and delivering measurable results.
- Deep expertise in media relations, program management and thought leadership strategy development.
- Comfortable dealing with senior executives and experienced with delivering strategic counsel as part of building strong client relationships.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation and multi-tasking skills.
