About the role
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-
Clean, ensuring proper disinfectant procedures are followed.
-
Clean areas, including office areas, lunchroom, entryways etc.
-
Sweeps, mops, polish, vacuum carpeted areas, performs all cleaning aspects of halls, offices, board rooms, restrooms and, lunchroom as well as washing walls, windows and window coverings.

Maintain outside grounds (front of building/building entrances)
-
Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks mirrors and floors. Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
-
Remove trash and recycling throughout the facility.
-
Wash and buff floors with floor polisher (if applicable)
-
Work with and understand a number of cleaning chemicals, ensuring the right products are being used for the right jobs
-
Dust all furniture and fixtures.
-
Report damages and acts of vandalism.
-
Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
-
Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies – reporting weekly inventory to company purchaser.
-
Restock materials and supplies as needed.
-
Assist with the preparation and set up for meetings, parties, or various other activities and clean up after then event.
-
Ensure compliance with WHMIS and any other required legislation regarding chemical products
-
Complete logbooks as necessary
-
Complete required training, including any required health and safety training
-
Other tasks as assigned by management
Working Conditions:
-
Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions
-
Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
-
Physical requirements: standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment.
Requirements
-
One (1) year of previous custodial/janitorial experience.
-
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
-
Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.

Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

Strong attention to detail.

Compensation:
-
Wage & Performance review after a successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. Wage and performance will be reviewed annually.
