Coop Student – Accounting, Assurance & Tax Term: 4 or 8 months (starting January 2026)
Segal GCSE LLP is a rapidly growing mid-size accounting, tax and business advisory firm situated in midtown Toronto. The Coop Student will take on a variety of responsibilities that support both their professional development and the firm’s client service needs. You will gain hands-on experience and contribute to real client work. Your responsibilities will include
What You Will Be Doing
- Assisting in the preparation of personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns
- Supporting audit and review engagements through testing and documentation
- Preparing working papers for compilation engagements
- Assisting with GST/HST filings and payroll remittances
- Conducting research on accounting and tax issues
- Maintaining organized and confidential client files
- Collaborating with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service

What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting Coop program
- Intention to pursue a CPA designation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with CaseWare, TaxPrep, or Profile is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player who’s also comfortable working independently
