About This Opportunity
As a Membership Screener you will be responsible for the administration of GGC’s adult membership application and screening process, providing excellent customer service to support an exceptional membership experience.
In This Role You Will
Position Specific
Administers time-sensitive membership application and screening processes, including initial contact with adult inquiries, interviews, police records checks (PRC) and completion of references, and monitors screening requirements. Supports member PRC renewal processes and National member renewal process. Administers non-member volunteer processes. Supports strategic projects, including projects related to waitlists and opening new units. Supports the 1st Internet Trefoil Guild’s membership, including data entry and renewal. Maintains confidential member and non-member volunteer records. Produces and distributes status reports for application and screening processes. Provide exceptional customer service to GGC’s members and potential members in line with GGC’s customer service philosophy.
Administration
Develops and maintains up-to-date department electronic filing systems and back-ups and adheres to GGC’s retention guidelines. Maintain a thorough understanding of the membership database (iMIS).
General
Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices. Liaise with Member Services team and other departments as required. Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.
You Should Apply If You Have The Following
Education, Designations and Certifications
Post secondary degree or diploma and/or relevant work experience.
Prior Work Experience
Customer service experience and/or comparable relevant work experience.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Comfort with ambiguity and working in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Understands how to apply organizational policies regarding inclusivity to member processes, member communication and member support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong telephone communication skills Strong judgement and critical thinking skills Understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) Experience working with a membership database (iMIS an asset). Worked in the not-for-profit sector, additional asset if in a youth-serving organization or an organization focused on gender equality.

Hiring Range: $45,600.00- $53,820.00
