Reports to: Coordinator, Game Entertainment

POSITION SUMMARY
The Hype Team Lead will work during Canucks home games, Warriors home games, and
other events to promote Canucks Sport and Entertainment. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position. A typical shift includes:
- Providing support to hype team staff in the Coordinator/Manager’s absence
- Acting as an assistant floor director during games and events
- Assisting in the training, motivation and development of all hype team staff to ensure they are able and motivated to provide a high level of accuracy and consistency in all game night related duties
- Providing ongoing feedback to hype team staff, handling issues as they arise
- Providing feedback to the Coordinator on nightly issues and/or areas that can be improved upon
- Liaising with all internal partners during the shift to ensure a great experience for guests
- Assisting with in-game entertainment elements, including in-stand promotions, anthem singer and Every Kid’s Dream skater
- Ensuring drummers are in correct location at the correct times
- Providing on-ice assistance with set–up and execution of intermission contests as required
- Attending event briefings representing Game Entertainment department
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by team schedule
- Proven supervisory and team leadership skills
- Must have the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, guests, clients and VIP’s
- Must have excellent communication skills, professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and deal with difficult situations
- Must be energetic, positive, assertive and a self-motivated person
