Context:
The Operations and Mobility Systems (SEM) team ensures the integration, performance, and safety of the network’s strategic systems: telecommunications, video surveillance, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), building management systems (BMS/GTC), the Operations Control Centre (OCC), public address, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), access control, incident logging, telephony, intercom, wireless networks, and fare collection.
Leveraging SYSTRA’s centres of excellence, the team coordinates multi‑site production, harmonizes deliverables, and facilitates interfaces with the project management, the client, and stakeholders.
Its key missions are to:
- Coordinate and monitor multi‑site technical production across SYSTRA’s engineering centres.
- Participate in follow‑up and coordination meetings with project management and the client.
- Organize and streamline information flow to production teams.
- Propose, implement, and animate coordination tools to foster collaboration within SYSTRA.
- Supervise and harmonize SEM technical deliverables across all stakeholders.
The Project Technical Coordinator acts as the interface among involved disciplines. They organize production and are accountable for technical progress, schedule and cost compliance, and the quality of SEM deliverables.
Missions/Main Duties:
Reporting to the SEM Manager, the Project Technical Coordinator will:
- Coordinate SEM‑related activities with stakeholders (SYSTRA internal teams, subcontractors).
- Ensure compliance with and control of commitments (scope, schedule, costs).
- Develop, update, and distribute procedures and production templates related to SEM activities.
- Ensure effective communication of information to production teams.
- Monitor the production of technical deliverables (primarily in France) and support coordination of teams in addressing client comments.
- Ensure technical deliverables comply with contractual requirements and applicable standards.
- Monitor interfaces and overall coherence of the production.
- Organize and lead technical production progress meetings.
- Participate in follow‑up and coordination meetings with the SEM Manager and produce minutes.
- Provide regular progress reporting on the production of technical deliverables.
Profile/Skills:
Education: Degree in computer, electrical, systems engineering, or a related field.
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years in a similar role in technical project coordination. Experience in rail, tramway, metro, or infrastructure projects is an asset.
Technical competencies:
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
- Strong knowledge of distributed computing systems, virtualization, IP networks, and SCADA/BMS (redundant architectures, I/O).
- Experience in configuration management and technical documentation (traceability, version control, writing standards).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
