Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months + likely extensions (start ASAP)
Location: Regina, SK (Onsite/local rsources strongly preferred. Remote/hybrid may be considered from within Canada)
We are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist for a contract role to design, implement, and support enterprise server environments. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, security administration, and automation of core systems while ensuring high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance with industry best practices.
Key Technical Focus Areas
- Advanced Active Directory and Windows Server administration (build, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting)
- Endpoint management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) and/or Intune (software packaging, OS deployment, server configuration)
- VMware vSphere virtualization platform management
- Enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery planning/execution
- Windows technologies: Failover Clusters, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Services, DFS-N, etc
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Batch, etc)
Required / Desired skills:
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure/enterprise systems experience, including technical skills with the above-listed tools/systems.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in IT and/or certifications relevant to IT infrastructure support (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of security controls & compliance, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and provide on-call support (including evenings/weekends as needed).
