We are looking for aSeasonal Lead Hand, Groundsto join our team in Antigonish, NS. This supervisory, yet hands-on position services our Manufactured Home Communities. Leading a small grounds team, the successful incumbent will ensure curb appeal is maintained through planning and thoughtful landscaping.
What you will do:
- Landscaping duties including but not limited to laying sod or seed, mowing, trimming, weeding, etc.;
- Producing and maintaining ditches and French drains;
- Operating vehicle to relocate tactor and mowers to different parks;
- Supervising and leading a small team of seasonal grounds people;
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
- 1-2 years previous labour/maintenance experience;
- Experience operating a small tractor with a backhoe attachment would be considered an asset;
- Experience in some carpentry would be considered an asset;
- Ability to work as a team and under minimal supervision;
- Previous supervisory experience required;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
