We are currently seeking a Financial Applications Analyst to join our Information Technology team based in the Firm’s Halifax, NS office.

Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity:

The Firm is seeking a Financial Applications Analyst to support and enhance its financial systems. This role is essential to ensuring the reliable day-to-day operation of financial applications, maintaining data integrity, and delivering responsive user support. As a member of the IT team, the analyst will work closely with Finance and other departments to maintain system health, implement upgrades, and optimize processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing user access and permissions, performing technical month-end and year-end close procedures, and supporting application upgrades through testing and validation. This role will also contribute to the planning and rollout of new applications and integrations, maintain documentation and user guides, and provide training to promote effective system use. The analyst will engage with vendors and consultants to evaluate new features and implement solutions, while continuously analyzing current processes to recommend improvements.

If you have a certificate or diploma in Business Administration or Information Technology combined with 2-3 years of relevant experience, we want to hear from you! Additional relevant experience may be considered in place of a certificate or diploma. Technical proficiency with financial applications, both on-premise and cloud-based are considered an asset.
