**Location:**Project locations are based on our contacts and can vary. Projects are based in BC, in and outside of the Lower Mainland
Wage: $24-32 ho****urly plus a Live Out Allowance (LOA) for specific projects
Reports To: Traffic Control Supervisor
Employment Status: This is a temporary role expected to start immediately and end date is dependent on specific project dates

About the Positions
ATS Traffic is actively seeking Project-Based Contract Employees to support our ongoing infrastructure and traffic management projects throughout British Columbia. We are currently hiring Lane Closure Technicians to join our dynamic teams as soon as possible.
These roles are critical to ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic flow around work zones and construction sites. As a contract-based team member, you will be deployed on an as-needed basis depending on project demand, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the province.

Traffic Technician/ Lane Closure Technician
Conducting traffic control around cities, construction sites and major events such as music festivals or sporting events. You will be responsible for implementing Traffic Management plans, setting up of signs and cones and closing off lanes. Traffic Technicians design safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards.
Qualifications

A valid Class 5 driver’s license and 3-year clean driving abstract is required.

Own method of transportation to get to and from work is preferred.

As this is a safety-sensitive position, all employees must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. This includes use of marijuana, medical or non.

Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 30 to 50 pounds.

2 years experience in either Traffic Control or Construction industries is preferred.

TCP/LCT Certificate is required.
