About the role

OVERVIEW

The Data Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven improvement, research, and decision-making within the hospital. Embedded within clinical and research teams, the analyst specializes in extracting, curating, and translating data from the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) into actionable insights.
This role operates at the intersection of data, clinical care, and research—partnering closely with investigators, clinicians, and operational leaders to understand data needs, assess feasibility, and deliver timely, high-quality data solutions. A key feature of this role is responsiveness: supporting just-in-time data requests that inform rapid-cycle improvement, patient safety initiatives, and emerging research questions.
Situated withina dynamic community academic health system and connected to regional and national research networks, the Data Analyst will work directly with researchers, clinical teams, and administrators to secure data from across the enterprise solutions to support embedded science within the hospital and community.
