FSU Event Ambassador (Work Study) - Student Work Study job opportunity open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.
This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.

If approved, the Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the fall and winter term.
Summer Contract from May 2026 - August 2026 Up to 35 hours per week
Summary The FSU Event Ambassador will provide a high level of customer service and will be responsible for promoting FSU activities and services at all FSU events and maintain poster boards around campus. Under the direction of the Event & Activities Coordinator – Area and Regional Campuses and/or Event Coordinators, the FSU Event Ambassador will provide support at events, interact regularly with students and volunteers, take pictures at events as requested, and provide assistance with stocking and organizing of event inventory.
This is a contract position, up to 35 hours per week. Weekend work is possible.
Job Duties
- Promote the FSU activities and services at all FSU Events
- Distribute promotional materials
- Remain visible and energetic on campus when promoting events
- Put up and take down posters from the FSU poster boards around the campus
- Represent FSU positively when interacting with students and volunteers
- Assist at FSU events as needed
- Take pictures at events as requested
- Assist with stocking and organizing of inventory
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a registered Full-Time student at Fanshawe College
- Creative thinker
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a energetic atmosphere
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Commitment to attend all training, which includes a review of FSU Operations, FSU buildings, general protocols, and department processes.
