About Us
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is the central human resource agency for the Government of Saskatchewan. The Commission provides leadership and policy direction to all ministries to enable a high-performing and innovative professional public service.
The Talent branch within the PSC is a Centre of Excellence, staffed by a team of subject matter experts dedicated to proactively attracting, engaging, and developing the organization’s workforce. The branch focuses on three key areas: Talent Attraction, Development, and Management.
The Opportunity
The Talent branch has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, client-service orientated individual with a commitment to high-quality work to fulfill the role of Talent Program Coordinator.
As the Talent Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Utilizing the Government of Saskatchewan learn management system to set up classes, monitoring registration, marking attendance, pulling reports, creating and distributing evaluations, and supporting clients in technical troubleshooting;
- Managing end-to-end bill-backs for corporate learning events, which includes creating and processing invoices and inputting and entering data into the bill-back system;
- Supporting clients in the explanation of the programs offered by the Talent branch and answering helpdesk inquiries;
- Updating and maintaining Talent documentation supporting corporate learning, such as the learning catalogue, calendars, process guides, spreadsheets, etc.; and,
- Booking venues facilities for training and corporate learning events.
Ideal Candidate
Our candidate of choice will be an individual with a high attention to detail who also enjoys a diverse range of job expectations and responsibilities. As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint to design, format, and modify complex documents and spreadsheets;
- Knowledge of invoicing, reconciliation and billing procedures;
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to ask precise questions, respond to inquiries, provide clear and concise information, and develop various types of documentation;
- The ability to independently complete multiple tasks by organizing and prioritizing workloads; and,
- The ability to understand, reference, and apply acts, policies, procedures, and/or regulations.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through:
- A combination of formal education in office administration, combined with work experience in a similar role; and,
- Experience using a variety of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office.
Previous knowledge and experience utilizing learn management systems would be considered an asset.
