COMMENCING: October 16, 2025 until December 19, 2025, or one day prior to return of incumbent, whichever occurs first.
COMPENSATION: CUPE Clerical-Technical Employees Payband 7 $25.68 to $27.98
HOURS: 7.0 hours per day (11-month classification)
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems, the Courier Driver, with the use of a Divisional vehicle, picks-up
and delivers Print Shop materials and mail between the Division’s schools/offices. Responsibilities include operating and
ensuring that a Division owned vehicle is clean, maintained and serviced on a regular basis; pick-up and delivery of materials,
mail and supplies to the Division’s schools and Board Office; pick-up and delivery of materials, mail and supplies within the City
of Winnipeg as required; adherence to all relevant policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment; ability
to act with integrity and diligence in carrying out professional responsibilities. The Courier Driver position supports the strategic
actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
Education and Training
• Completion of grade 12 education is preferred.
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract.
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills
• Ability to perform frequent lifting with some heavy lifting.
- Previous courier or delivery experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
- Possess a high degree of initiative, organizational skills, and time management ability.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes of paper/documents or mail.
- Good interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and public relations skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent skills in both official languages (English and French) would be an asset.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.
- Respect In School or equivalent training is required.
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License, and current Driver’s Abstract is required.
- Review and comply with Divisional policies and guidelines.
- Continued employment is subject to maintaining legal eligibility to work in Canada.
