Support the Technology That Powers Manufacturing
We are seeking a technically capable and analytically driven Network & Business Systems Administrator to support and enhance the IT infrastructure behind our heavy-haul trailer manufacturing operations.
This role is operational in nature. The focus is on building reliable dashboards, maintaining clean data, supporting ERP integrations, and ensuring plant systems run without interruption.
You will work within a 3-person IT team and report to the IT Manager, supporting both plant and corporate users.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards used daily by production, operations and finance.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and datatsets.
- Maintain and improve SSRS reports and scheduled reporting.
- Ensure reporting accuracy and consistency across departments.
- Automate recurring reports to reduce manual effort.
- Work directly with operations and finance teams to define reporting requirements.
- Maintain clean, structured datasets for operational and financial reporting.
AI & Productivity Tools
- Support practical use of Microsoft Copilot tools.
- Use AI tools to streamline report creation and data analysis.
- Help automate repetitive reporting and analysis tasks.
- Ensure data remains accurate and properly governed.
Systems Integration & Automation
- Maintain integrations (VB.NET/VBA/VB6 and REST APIs).
- Support EDI and vendor/customer data exchanges.
- Troubleshoot and improve data flows between operational and financial systems.
- Document reporting logic and system integrations.
Infrastructure & Operational Support
- Maintain plant and corporate network infracture (Cisco switches, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Support segmented shop-floor networks and production connectivity.
- Manage Ubiquiti wireless environments.
- Maintain virtualization platforms (VMware ESX or equivalent).
- Administer Active Directory and Azure AD (users, permission, group policy).
- Support Microsoft 365 and user provisioning.
- Assist with escalated help desk issues.
- Suppport workstation, printers, scanners, and production-floor devices.
- Coordinate with Managed IT and security vendors as required.
Required Experience
- Advanced SQL and reporting experiences.
- Power BI (data modeling and dashboard development).
- SSRS reporting.
- Power Apps and Power Automate.
- REST-based integrations.
- Active Directory and Azure AD administration.
- Cisco networking experience.
- Virtualization platforms (VMware or equivalent).
- Experience supporting both office and production-floor environments.
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
- ERP system exposure.
- Experience integrating operational and financial data.
Shift Availability
- Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- Onsite in Leduc, AB.
