The Accounting Intern is a role for someone who enjoys working with numbers and learning new things and is highly motivated for a career in the field. This hands-on position will help you build your skills and gain the knowledge that will give you a leading edge in being successful in the accounting field. In this role, you will learn from the best. The role is exciting and busy, and if you are keen to learn, we are keen to teach. You are proud to represent the Cabot brand and proactively act as an ambassador and role model.
The successful candidate is required to be enrolled in a for-credit undergraduate level co-op / internship program at a post-secondary institution (college or university) in the province of Nova Scotia during the Winter school term (January – April), studying Finance, Accounting or a related field (e.g. Business Administration). Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- The successful candidate is required to be enrolled in a for-credit undergraduate level co-op / internship program at a post-secondary institution (college or university) in the province of Nova Scotia during the Winter 2026 school term (January – April), studying Finance, Accounting or a related field (e.g. Business Administration).
- Agile and flexible, able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Detail-oriented, able to thrive in a result-focused, transparent organization.
- A high degree of proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Builds credibility through high responsibility, responsiveness and reliability.
Requirements Of The Role You Should Be Aware Of
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- This position demands minimal physical strain, with occasional light lifting necessary on event days.
- Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints.
- Sitting for long periods of time is to be expected on occasion.
