Canadian Treads - Administrative Assistant
Ingersoll, Ontario

Canadian Treads, an innovative leader in tire repurposing, specializes in retreading commercial truck tires through a precise, multi-step process that combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced technology to extend the life of the commercial truck tires. We are currently seeking highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our production facility. This role is essential in ensuring smooth administrative processes, timely communication, and accurate record-keeping to support both internal teams and external customers Join us and be part of a forward-thinking company on the leading edge of sustainable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls, direct them and take messages as needed

  • Run and distribute reports for customers as required

  • Assist with completion and distribution of internal reports

  • Complete general administrative forms and handle related email communication

  • Manage training videos: assign them to employees, track completion, and maintain accurate training records

  • Organize and maintain the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) binder, including all relevant paperwork

  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and reporting

  • Occasionally place orders for office and plant supplies

  • Match work orders, verify information, and make updates or changes as needed

  • File physical and electronic documents in an organized and accessible manner

  • Assist Office Administrator as needed and provide coverage for vacation

  • Perform other administrative duties as required to support the efficient operation of the plant

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience with inventory systems or production reporting is an asset
