  • Support technical documentation for Indigenous fisheries engagement processes and provide performance data and case study inputs to the Communications team as required.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Canadian federal grants, including coordinating reporting and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and managing complex deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience working with environmental or fisheries related data, including data management and synthesis.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct structured data analysis under direction.
  • Strong written communication skills, including drafting technical summaries and formal reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working respectfully and professionally with Indigenous communities or partners.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage cyclical workloads and competing priorities.

How You Will Be Measured

Success in this role is defined by the effective management of grant compliance and the provision of reliable administrative and technical support to the Fisheries Science team.

The Fisheries & Grant Coordinator is successful when:

  • All quarterly, annual, and final reports under the Economic and Social Development Canada grant agreement are submitted on time and accepted without material revision.
  • Grant deliverables, milestones, and budgets are accurately tracked, documented, and aligned with funding requirements.
  • Documentation is organized, complete, and audit ready at all times.
  • The Fisheries Science team reports a measurable reduction in administrative burden related to grant management.
  • Technical support tasks assigned during non-reporting periods are completed accurately and on schedule.
